What are the benefits of living on campus?
Living in residence on campus provides a safe and secure environment to study, meet friends and be supported through your academic and personal college experience. With building code and key access with Resident Advisors trained in emergency response and First Aid, we aim to ensure that all students feel secure in their home. Also, living on campus is a great way to eliminate or reduce your daily commute.
What is the last day to cancel my application?
Students are able to cancel their residence application at any time, but may be subject to financial penalties. Please refer to the Student Residence Agreement for a full breakdown. Please note that refunds take a minimum of 6-8 weeks to be processed and then delivered by mail.
Can I defer my residence offer to the winter semester?
You can defer your residence application to the winter semester, but we are not able to guarantee that you will be accepted for the winter semester. If you would like to defer your residence application to the winter semester please reach out to us via email at info@northernresidence.showmyproject.com
If you would like to cancel your application you can do so on your Housing Portal.
When is move in for the fall semester?
More information about the residence move-in date will be emailed to students following the acceptance process.
Will I be able to have guests in residence?
Yes! For the full guest policy, please review our Residence Community Living Standards. The guest policy can be found on page 6.
Can I have mail or packages shipped to the residence?
Current residents may have mail and packages shipped to residence. Current residents must ensure their mail or package is addressed in the name they have registered for residence, with their residence room number. Pick-ups will be available at the RA room twice a week.
Does the residence have internet/Wi-Fi?
Internet/Wi-Fi is not provided in the residence. Once you are accepted, roommate information will be shared closer to move-in. Students may then coordinate with their roommates to arrange internet service if desired.
Can I have a pet in residence?
Pets are not permitted in the Residence with the exception of non-dangerous fish in small aquaria (less than 4 litres)
